1944 Gibson Southern Jumbo
Just in- another banner (1944) Gibson Southern Jumbo. The Southern Jumbo was the top of the line flagship slope shoulder guitar of the Gibson line. But of course the SJ is far more than just a fancier dressed up J-45 with more aesthetic inlays and binding. The best woods including the top grade Adirondack spruce tops of the day were reserved for this expensive and scarcely produced model. This one has a one hundred percent original finish and no cracks. The frets are also original as are the bridge, tuners, inlays, and pickguard. This one has a great neck and a MONSTER tone. Period correct case. 11,500 dollars.
