1968 Martin D-45 Prototype
HUGE SALE PRICE. After a twenty six year hiatus, the D-45 model- the true Martin flagship- was revived by revered figure Mike Longworth. All stops were pulled out on these guitars including Brazilian rosewood but it all started with a mere two prototypes. Serial numbers 232933 and 236913. This particular guitar is actually the very first prototype produced- number 232933- a true piece of guitar and Martin history. It doesn’t get much more desirable than this. This is literally the guitar Longworth brought to Martin to try to get the green light to move forward in putting the D-45 into production. This guitar is housed in the original case and has 100 percent original finish and parts. There is a repaired minor crack between two of the tuners. This guitar has all of the look and feel that you could possibly want in a vintage D-45. $27,000.
