1931 Martin OM-28 (small pickguard)
1931 OM-28. Crack free. For Martin aficionados, the OM-28 model needs no introduction. Made for only five years, many consider this to be the pinnacle of Martin design and craftsmanship. All bells and whistles one can imagine are present- Adirondack top, Brazilian rosewood, bar frets, Ebony Fretboard, snowflake inlays, herringbone trim, hand scalloped x bracing, 1 3/4 nut, logo impressed into the back of the head stock. And housed in a period correct case. This guitar is set up perfectly and has incredible sustain. The bridge plate, while maple and the correct shape, appears to be a replacement. The top appears refinished. The decal on the head stock was added likely in the early 1940s at Martin. Dying Breed Music- Only the Best Will Do. $45,000.
