1929 00-42

We always strive to be known for having some of the best instruments in the country. It’s hard to pick a favorite- but this one is definitely in the running. It’s a 1929 00-42 housed in the original case. As if that were not special enough- this guitar was owned and played extensively by Bill Boyd- the founder and frontman of The Cowboy Ramblers. He was both a country music and movie star- recording many hits through the 1940s and 50s such as “Under the Double Eagle” and appearing in six Western films. His name is enshrined on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. We have letters of correspondence between Mr. Boyd and the Martin guitar company regarding this specific guitar. This is a wonderful instrument in it’s own right and is also a major piece of music and movie history. Call or message to make this guitar the crown jewel of your collection.
