Wow, this guitar brings me back. The first war Martin I had was a 1941 D-18. Still my favorite year. And then for two years the only guitar I owned was a pre war 21 style. The bells and whistles were great and remain so on this 1941 0-21. Adirondack, Brazilian rosewood, diamond inlays,, ebony, hide glue, scalloped braces. 12 frets! Slotted head stock! Incredible sound. Notes leap out of these guitars and have had a permanent place on my investable guitars list. So many unique aspects combine to roll something out of that Martin factory that is truly special. And the rarity makes it all the more desirable. Marty Lanham, one of the the top 10-12 luthiers in America, executed a perfect neck set. This guitar has all original parts and finish. This isn’t nearly the most expensive guitar we have. But it’s one of the best.
